Jason will be participating in a panel discussion at the 2007 Arc Biennial on the subject of ‘Designing Difference’.

The other panelists are: Dr Samer Akkach, Founding Director of Adelaide University’s Centre for Asian and Middle Eastern Architecture (CAMEA); Dr Cameron Tonkinwise, Director of Design Studies, and Course Director of the Postgraduate Coursework Design Degree Programs at the University of Technology, Sydney; Timothy Hill, Co-Director, Donovan Hill Architects, Brisbane.

From the Biennial:
“What is the power of this art form? Cultural exclusion, social division, conspicuous consumption, are these possibilities through design. What is the true potential of design in an ever-changing world? This panel presents three perspectives, formed through different design disciplines. Architecture as cultural critic, graphic design as a vehicle for public dissent or design as an environmental saviour, this panel examines the power of design, only scratching the surface of its numerous guises and potentials.”
